Everything was great, except for Izaka roll (unjustifiable $18.00!, chewy with the wrong taste down the road). But sushi were the freshest and service was good. Will probably miss this place in the future.

It was authentic japanese restaurant. feel like in Japan and tasty. However, it was over price.

Overall good and I'd come back because the service is nice and the place has a good buzz about it. The food didn't blow my mind (the padron peppers were over seasoned; hagedashi tofu just ok; tuna sashimi good) and is overpriced.

The Izaka-Ya by Katsu-Ya in West Hollywood is fantastic!Laid back but playful atmosphere. Started with the salted Edamame and some hot Sake then followed with Grilled Eggplant & Albacore Miso, Crispy Sesame Tuna, and Seared Albacore with Crispy Onion.I was enjoying the fresh and tasty dishes so much I forgot to take some photos! The Baked Crab & Cajun Salmon rolls were delicious, and the Yellowtail with JalapeΓΒ±o was fresh, yummy and presented in a dainty pretty way. Was full but had to top it all off with the Green Tea Mochi and fresh Strawberry slices.Perfect!
